Go Vertical Stand Up Paddle Location
Shop 4, 19 River Drive Budds Beach in Surfers Paradise.
We are part of the Bumbles Cafe building, on the Pine Ave side of Bumbles Cafe.
If the door is down perhaps we are on the beach putting paddlers on the water. walk over and see if you can spot is (we do wear teal or flouro yellow T’s so you can always spot us easily)

Please ensure you arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled booking time as you will need to sign our waiver and store your belongings.

What we offer
You can take part in a fully instructed beginner’s SUP lesson or for the more adventurous & experienced you can hire a Stand Up Paddle Board or Kayak and go it alone. Or perhaps join one of our fun SUP paddle groups or Paradise SUP Tours and learn some tips & tricks along the way.
About us
Go Vertical has been operating on the Gold Coast for over 11 years, providing the best quality boards and instruction for both locals & visitors.
We pride ourselves in having the best instructors who are Surfing Queensland and ASI accredited, which equates to a safe & fun experience for all ages. Our Top Quality boards and carbon paddles are purchased from SURF FX, located 127 Ferry Rd, Southport, the best SUP shop on the Gold Coast
When we operate
- Group Lessons daily 9am, 11am and 1pm other times available for groups of 4 or more or private lessons.
- Paddle Groups (weekends on select days- weather permitting).
- Paradise SUP Tours Daily at 9am and twilight Tours at 3.30pm (Summer) or 3pm (Winter)
It pays to learn properly the first time and then your paddling skills will progress rapidly.
Lesson Discounts for students, groups of 4+ and Backpackers. Ask about our Family concessions.

Fun on SUPs

Linda Spiteri
SUP Instructor & Owner
A little about Linda – Linda’s love for SUP and travel has taken her around the world experiencing SUP in exotic places from the Galapagos Islands to Sayulita Mexico. Linda started up Go Vertical as a small business following her passion for SUP and her desire to share it with the rest of world. 
After working on Super yachts for 10 years Linda decided to settle back in Qld, her love of the Gold Coast bought her back.
Linda became a certified SUP instructor back in 2011 and has been enjoying teaching SUP and leading groups & tours for the past 6 years.
Her passion for SUP, her professionalism & safety record make her “paddlers choice” when it comes to having the greatest experience here on the Gold Coast.
Kaz
SUP Instructor & Tour Guide
Kaz become fully hooked on SUP a few years back and has worked with is at GV SUP for the past 3 years, bringing a happy & fun energy to our awesome team.
There was no stopping Kaz’s passion for SUP and after completing the ASI accreditation she took to teaching like a bee to honey.
Loving the interaction with others and working in the great outdoors. She is now our “On the Beach manager”.
Her love of photography shines as Kaz takes loads of photos of the Lesson & Tour participants, which brings joy to all.
Watch out she loves creating boomerang shots of fun tricks and yoga poses encouraging all to have as much fun as possible, with the intention of catching the video or photo to prove it!
We love Kaz and you will too as she teaches you SUP with patience and caring.
Ava Hung (Taiwan)

A little about Ava – Ava became a SUP Coach in 2019 to follow her dream of working as an instructor on the beach of Surfers Paradise where she learnt herself.
Ava’s love for teaching kids to paddle really shines when we do Kids SUP Camps & Clinics.
Patience is paramount for Ava and she provides a sense of calm when teaching beginners on the Lessons.
Ava is full of fun, loves to teach tricks, tricking paddlers to fall in the water, creating lots of fun and laughter
Ava is a natural “Water Gal” and we love having her on our team. 
Amar
SUP instructor, Surf Coach, – from The Canary Islands
A little about Amar – Amar has a real passion for SUP and has taken it to the extremes as he participates in SUP flat water & surfing.
It would be hard to find someone with his depth of paddle knowledge and also he has the best balance with tricks on SUP.
Amar loves to teach all walks of life and includes advanced instruction as well.
You will love to take a private or group lesson with Amar, get ready to have loads of fun!
